Event narrative

A portion of the roof of the Bishop Baraga School caved in. Little additional wind damage was noted in the immediate neighborhood. However, several trees were also uprooted a few miles to the southeast.

Wider weather episode

Another line of thunderstorms (originating from eastern Minnesota) crossed northern Michigan in the early morning hours of the 19th. Damaging winds were again the primary hazard.
