A combination of a shortwave moving across Montana, favorable jet dynamics and large dew point depressions brought some high based thunderstorms that brought strong wind gusts to portions of the area. Wind gusts of 61 mph were reported at the Jackson Hole Airport and the Sweetwater County Airport.
