The Worland, Wyoming airport reached a high temperature of 100 degrees, tying the all-time September record.

A abnormally strong ridge and dry soil brought record heat to western and central Wyoming. Many areas saw record high temperatures, with a few stations reaching 100 degrees. All time monthly high temperatures were set or tied at Big Piney, Casper, Lander, Riverton, Rock Springs and Worland.
