Event narrative
There was scattered, but costly damage in northern Worcester County. In Fitchburg at 148 PM EDT, a tree was down on Ashburnham Hill Road and at 514 PM EDT, a tree fell into a house on Highview Street. In Leicester at 215 PM EDT, a tree fell onto a pickup truck, crushing it. Wires were down on Mulberry Street. In Leominster at 644 PM EDT, a tree fell onto a house on Lancaster Street.

Tropical Storm Isaias moved from coastal Virginia eastern New York state, near the Connecticut/Massachusetts border on Tuesday, August 4. As the storm reached the New York City area, southerly winds were maximizing across southern New England, causing widespread wind damage.
