In Warwick, at T.F. Green Airport (KPVD), the ASOS recorded a wind gust to 56 mph at 723 AM EDT. Also in Warwick, at 751 AM EDT, a tree was blown down onto I-95, north of the I-95 connector.

Wider weather episode

A cold front produced a fine line of low-topped convection that moved across the region from west to east during the morning. A southerly low level jet of 80 knots at 850 mb, combined with fully leafed trees, helped cause damaging winds.
