Mesonet station near Grove City reported a strong marine wind gust.
Wider weather episode
Dropping pressure in the Caribbean along with a ridge over the Mid Atlantic States caused a strong gradient wind over Florida. The strong gradient winds were easily able to mix down to the surface with showers in the afternoon and evening hours causing strong marine gust.
