A large tree branch was snapped in Juniper Hills Park in Frankfort.

Wider weather episode

While on the western side of an upper trough, a surface low with associated fronts moved south through west-central Kentucky. This produced thunderstorms along the front, stretching west to east through Kentucky. As this line moved south through the Bluegrass region of Kentucky, areas of severe damage resulted.
