Event narrative

Massive flash flood coming down Indian creek. Video shows several new channels, rushing water several feet deep with an expanse nearly 100 feet wide. CR 421 completely inundated.

Wider weather episode

Strong to severe storms developed over the higher terrain and along the I-25 corridor during the afternoon and evening hours. While the main risk for this day was severe weather, thunderstorm development over and near the higher terrain provided a risk for burn scar flash flooding.
