Temperatures 5 to 8 degrees above normal around 100 degrees occurred in southeast Cochise County causing the Moderate Heat Risk category to be reached on August 28th. The Pima County Medical Examiner confirmed that heat was the primary cause of death for one male 20 miles northeast of Douglas.
