General public located 32 miles south of Merriman reported 9 inches of snowfall. Snowfall amounts from 4 to 9 inches were common across western Cherry County. North winds ranged as high as 15 to 25 mph at times and caused minor blowing and drifting with visibility as low as a half mile.
Wider weather episode
A storm system caused winter storm conditions to develop during the overnight hours on October 24th, which continued October 25th into the early morning hours on October 26th. Total snowfall amounts ranged from 4 to 9 inches with local amounts a high as 10 to 14 inches from southern Garden County into Deuel County. North to northeast winds of 15 to 25 mph caused some minor blowing and drifting with visibilities as low as a half mile.
