Corpus Christi Naval Air Station ASOS measured a gust to 34 knots.

A weak upper level disturbance over the northwest Gulf of Mexico along with deep tropical moisture combined to produce scattered thunderstorms over the coastal waters in the afternoon. Some of the storms produced wind gusts to 35 knots over Coastal Bend.
