Mesonet station 5 N Ledger measured a 54 kt (62 mph) non-thunderstorm wind gust.

A relatively strong Pacific trough and surface cold front moved through the region on September 24th, 2020, bring a round of strong westerly winds to Rocky Mountain Front and North-central plains. H700 winds were mostly in the 45 to 55 mph range, which did mix down along and behind the surface cold front. Much of Central/North-central MT was included in a High Wind Warning, though most of the wind reports were observed along the Rocky Mountain Front and Hi-Line areas.
