Event narrative
One to two inches of snow accumulation. One indirect death from a car accident when one vehicle slid into an oncoming vehicle on slippery highway 12 in the Town of Oakland.
Wider weather episode
A surge of relatively mild and moist air aloft brought accumulating light snow during the morning rush hour. Some vehicle slide-offs and accidents occurred across portions of southern WI. This included one fatality in Jefferson Co. when a vehicle lost control on a slippery highway and hit an oncoming vehicle.
