A storm chaser recorded a 60 mph wind gust.
Wider weather episode
Deepening low pressure and associated cold front moved into the northern Great Lakes. This front interacted with CAPE values in excess of 1000 J/KG and 30+ knots of shear to help spark of small areas of thunderstorms. The best instability was centered in northwestern Ohio where a few storms began to produce marginally severe weather.
