Winds generally were gusting to around 50 mph. In Ashland at 946 AM EST, a tree was down on Winter Street. In Stow at 1025 AM, a large tree was down on Sudbury Road. At 1132 AM EST, the ASOS at the Bedford Airport recorded a gust to 45 mph.

In the wake of a cold front, strong to damaging west to northwest winds blew across the region, aided by mixing due to a very cold pool of air aloft.
