Winds generally were gusting to 50 to 55 mph. In Agawam at 1028 AM EST, a large tree limb fell onto wires on Westfield Street. Peak wind gusts included 57 mph atop Mt. Tom (per mesonet site at 1142 AM), 49 mph at the Westfield-Barnes Airport (per ASOS at 957 AM), and 47 mph at the Westover AFB (per AWOS at 1023 AM).
