Event narrative
A strong cold front brought freezing temperatures, snow showers, and strong winds. The temperature remained below freezing between 4:00 AM and 10:30 AM the next day. The wind chill values dropped to near zero. Two men died due to the cold.
Wider weather episode
A cold front bought very windy conditions and sharply colder temperatures along with areas of snow. Daytime temperatures were 20 to 25 degrees below normal.
