Event narrative

Pictures from Facebook indicate that 7 to 10 inches of snow fell in the Eager/Springerville area at just over 7000 feet elevation and 6 inches fell in Vernon at just below 7000 feet elevation. In Vernon, at around 6500 feet, 5 inches of snow fell and melted during the daylight hours on the 26th. Another 8 inches of snow fell overnight into the morning of the 27th and remained on the ground...for at storm total of 13 inches.

A cold front bought very windy conditions and sharply colder temperatures along with areas of snow. Daytime temperatures were 20 to 25 degrees below normal.
