At 754 PM EST, a wind gust to 59 mph was recorded at West Island in Fairhaven. At 8 PM EST in Acushnet, a tree limb fell onto a person on Fairway Drive. The injured person was taken to Rhode Island Hospital.

Wider weather episode

A warm front moved through southern New England in the evening, followed by strong to damaging wind gusts. A cold front then moved through late in the evening, accompanied by a fine line of thunderstorms, which also produced some damaging winds.
