High pressure remained over central California during the morning of December 30. High clouds streaming over the are limited the extent of dense fog. However, a strip of dense fog formed in the center portion of the San Joaquin Valley overnight and lowered visibility to below a quarter mile in spots along State Route 99 between Merced and Visalia and along State Route 198 between Lemoore and Visalia. The fog dissipated by late morning.
