The entire zone was placed into Severe(D2) drought on November 10th. The Cooperative Observer in Hillsboro reported 0.17 inches of precipitation which was 0.61 inches below normal.

Wider weather episode

With continued dry conditions over southern New Mexico, any area that wasn't at least in severe drought conditions to start the month, were placed into it by the middle of November.
