Severe(D2) drought existed across the entire zone at the beginning of November. At the end of the month, Extreme(D3) drought expanded into the eastern half of the area.

Wider weather episode

Very little precipitation in the month of November lead to expanding severe and even extreme drought conditions into far west Texas.
