The wider storm
An upper level trough was moving slowly over the Great Basin on the 4th. Mid level winds tightened and mixed down to the surface on the afternoon of the 4th, creating a few reports of high winds over the Capitan, northern Sacramento and Guadalupe mountains of Chaves county.
