Exceptional(D4) drought continued across the entire zone. The Buckhorn Cooperative Observer reported 0.83 inches which was 0.52 inches below normal.
Wider weather episode
Besides one precipitation event in early December, little moisture fell during the month. All climate locations reported below normal precipitation which kept all areas in severe to exceptional drought.
