Heavy snow fell in northern Middlesex County with amounts ranging from 3 to 6.8 inches. Lesser amounts fell in the southern part of the county. Some totals included 6.8 inches in Hudson, 5.0 inches in Hopkinton, 4.7 inches in Littleton, and 4.5 inches in Sudbury.

The wider storm

A rapidly intensifying storm system produced strong to damaging winds and heavy rain (2-4 inches) which changed to a period of heavy snow in the higher elevations. The low pressure system crossed between Nantucket and Cape Cod before lifting northeast.
