Moisture ahead of an upstream trough caused increasing cloudiness across the region from west to east. Perturbations in the flow of the overhead ridge caused mountain snow showers along the divide that would eventually expand to the mountains of Southwest and Central Montana. Snowfall accumulations would be light, with reports of 2-4 of snowfall across the passes.
