Event narrative

The Trial Lake sensor received 1.4 inches of liquid equivalent precipitation, or approximately 18 inches of snow. In addition, a COOP Observer 10 miles west of Heber City received 10.0 inches of snow.

Wider weather episode

A strong storm system pushed a cold front across northern Utah. Thunderstorms developed along the front, and these storms produced some strong winds. In the wake of the frontal passage, a moist flow kicked off some mountain snows.
