Snow accumulation above 6 inches at the summits of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa on the Big Island.

Strong high pressure far northeast of the islands and an upper trough to the southwest caused low level moisture to flow over the state from the southeast. Instability from the trough brought heavy showers, isolated thunderstorms, and flash flooding, mainly over the Big Island and Oahu. Snow also accumulated above 6 inches at the summits of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa on the Big Island. No serious injuries were reported. The costs of any property damage were not available.
