A large long period northwest swell impacted the coastline Monday January 18th with breaking waves expected at around 20 feet. Three people were swept into the ocean at Cowell Ranch State Beach in Half Moon Bay on Monday, two boys and their father. The 8 year old boy and his father were able to get out of the ocean, but the 12 year old boy was not.
