Tehachapi reported visibility below a quarter mile. Webcams showed visibility below 1000 feet in fog in the Tehachapi area.

Wider weather episode

Northwest flow continued behind a low pressure system which dropped through the Great Basin on February 15 and slowly moved east on February 16. The persistent northwest flow resulted in another period of upslope clouds banking up along the valley facing slopes of the Tehachapi Mountains and dense fog formed again over the Tehachapi Valley by late morning once again adversely impacting travel along State Route 58. The fog dissipated by early afternoon.
