A volunteer weather observer reported that 1.7 inches of snow had fallen near Lerose.

Moist northerly flow and cold temperatures lead to ideal conditions for snow across eastern Kentucky to begin the month of February 2021. On average, 1-3 inches of snow fell across eastern Kentucky from late Sunday night through early Tuesday morning. Slick, snow covered roads were the primary hazard during and immediately following this event.
