The Willapa River at Willapa (WILW1) reached flood stage at 0345PST, crested at 21.2 feet then dropped below flood stage at 0800PST on January 3rd. Flood stage is 21.0 feet.

The wider storm

A strong westerly upper level jet over the northern Pacific was directed at the Washington and Oregon coast, driving a plume of deep moisture toward western Washington and northwest Oregon.
