A storm system moved through the region during the late day and nighttime hours, bringing snow to much of the area. Heavier bands of snow developed over the northern Black Hills and portions of west central South Dakota. The heaviest bands produced four to eight inches of snow, with locally higher amounts. Elsewhere, a few inches of snow were reported.
