Snowfall amounts across this part of the county ranged from 4.0 inches of snowfall one mile southwest of White Sulfur Springs to 7.0 inches three miles southwest of Neola. Key impacts: slippery roads and sidewalks, impassable roads.
Wider weather episode
A low pressure system moved out of the central Plains into the Ohio Valley, opening the Mid-Atlantic to southwesterly flow that was enriched with moisture. Along with the increasing moisture was rising temperatures, meaning precipitation types changed through the event as temperatures climbed. In the end, parts of West Virginia received a mix of snow and sleet.
