Winds were gusting to 45 to 55 mph during the early evening, in association with the passage of a strong cold front. At 846 PM EDT (746 PM EST), the ASOS at the Worcester Airport recorded a wind gust to 48 mph. In Fitchburg at 710 PM EDT (610 PM EST), there was an amateur radio report of a tree down on a power line, with a brush fire, at Exchange Street and Sarah Lane.
