The local print media reported a large limb fell onto a truck outside of a home on Lakeview Drive. A man getting into the truck was struck and killed by the falling limb.

Strong low-level shear and marginal instability ahead of a strong cold front sweeping through the region combined to produce a few strong to severe thunderstorms, and an tornado, across parts of north Georgia.
