The status of the drought remained unchanged through the end of March with extreme (D3) conditions across the far northwest portion of the zone and severe (D2) conditions elsewhere.

Wider weather episode

Drought conditions improved slightly across portions of southwest Colorado in response to areas of below normal temperatures and above normal precipitation during the month of March. Elsewhere, drought status remained unchanged through the end of March as a result of drier and warmer than normal conditions.
