Strong and gusty north to northeast winds impacted the interior valleys of Ventura county. Some peak wind reports from the local Mesonet include: Crimea Fire Station (gust 95 MPH), Harmon (gust 69 MPH) and Toland Park (gust 59 MPH).
Wider weather episode
Very strong and gusty Santa Ana winds impacted many areas of Ventura and Los Angeles counties. Northeasterly winds, gusting up to 99 MPH, were reported across many areas. The gusty winds did produce numerous reports of downed small trees and branches.
