Strong and gusty northeast winds impacted the San Fernando Vallley in Los Angeles county. Some peak wind reports from the local Mesonet include: Browns Canyon (gust 75 MPH) and Whiteman Airport (gust 59 MPH).
Wider weather episode
Very strong and gusty Santa Ana winds impacted many areas of Ventura and Los Angeles counties. Northeasterly winds, gusting up to 99 MPH, were reported across many areas. The gusty winds did produce numerous reports of downed small trees and branches.
