Event narrative

An estimated six to eight inches of storm total snowfall occurred over northern Schoolcraft County based on nearby reports and observations. Tahquamenon Schools were closed on the 5th due to the storm.

Wider weather episode

Abundant moisture drawn in ahead of a cold front resulted in a heavy lake enhanced snow event across much of Upper Michigan from the 4th into the 5th.
