A heavy mix of sleet and snow totaling 4-5 inches impacted Anderson County, KY. Around 1.5 inches of sleet was reported, with the remainder in the form of snow.

Wider weather episode

A significant winter storm with heavy mixed precipitation impacted central Kentucky from late on Valentine's Day through the early morning hours of February 16, 2021. The majority of the precipitation occurred on February 15, 2021. A large swath of 1-3 inches of snow fell in addition to heavy sleet totaling 1-3 inches. Freezing rain and rain mixed in as well, especially in southern and eastern Kentucky. Cold air behind the system brought single digit temperatures, with Lexington plummeting to 2 degrees on the morning of February 17, 2021.
