Event narrative

A culvert failed leading to mud, water, and debris over State Route 23, at MP33 south of Lamont. The road was closed for clean up. No other reports of damage.

On February 22nd and with the passage of a strong cold front, an afternoon of moderate rainfall brought 0.25 to 0.50 inches of precipitation to portions of Whitman County. The additional rain contributed to a culvert failure along State Route 23, south of Lamont.
