A mesonet station 8 miles SSE of Goldendale, WA measured a non-tstm wind gust of 84 mph at 7:13pm PDT on March 28th. A mesonet station 22 miles NE of Goldendale, WA measured a non-tstm wind gust of 76 mph at 1:56pm PDT on March 28th.

A strong cold front and shortwave trough moving across the region Sunday, March 28th produced gusty winds with blowing dust across much of the forecast area. Winds were strong enough to cause power outages in portions of Kennewick, WA, while low visibility from blowing dust contributed to a 7 car accident in Richland, WA.
