Event narrative

A trained spotter reported numerous downed branches that were 4 to 5 inches in diameter near Sewall's Point. Local broadcast media also reported a very large tree was knocked over on a property near Southeast Saint Lucie Boulevard in Stuart.

Wider weather episode

A squall line associated with a mesoscale convective system moved across all of central and south Florida. One storm produced large hail in Orange and Seminole Counties, while a line of severe thunderstorms produced very strong wind gusts along the Treasure Coast, and wind damage in Martin County.
