Winds were generally gusting to 40 to 50 mph. The highest measured gust was 47 mph at 552 PM EDT at the Bedford Airport (KBED). In Hudson, at 636 PM EDT a tree fell on the corner of Blaine and Howe St. In Ashland, at 913 PM EDT a tree was down on wires.
Wider weather episode
Low pressure and its associated cold front swept across the region before sunrise, bringing an end to rain showers. This was followed by dry but windy conditions which caused scattered damage across Southern New England.
