Event narrative

Winds were generally gusting 40 to 50 mph. The highest measured gust was 55 mph at 513 PM EDT in Wrentham. In Foxboro at 426 PM EDT an oak tree fell on a house. In Franklin at 1241 PM EDT a large tree came down on a roof causing minor damage. In Canton at 114 PM EDT a pine tree came down in front of a home on Lakewood Dr.

Wider weather episode

Low pressure and its associated cold front swept across the region before sunrise, bringing an end to rain showers. This was followed by dry but windy conditions which caused scattered damage across Southern New England.
