A very wet April brought much needed relief to Kapingamarangi. 3.53 inches of rainfell fell over Kapingamarangi which is 108 percent of average. This rainfall allowed this location to go from D2 to D1. Crops and vegetation continue to recover after nearly a year of
inadequate rainfall. Quality of well water is unknown.
