Heavy snow of 5.5 inches. 2 miles west southwest Nathrop.

A strong upper level system moved across the region during this period, producing a period of heavy snow across the eastern mountains and far southern CO, especially the southern I-25 corridor. Along with the heavy snow, strong winds occurred and supported blizzard conditions near the Colorado and New Mexico border. Highest snow amounts approached one foot across far southern Colorado.
