Event narrative

A maximum wind gust of 61 mph was reported at the Willow Creek RAWS site.

Wider weather episode

A strong cold front moved across Wyoming and brought high wind to northern portions of the state. The highest wind was at the Johnson County airport in Buffalo, Wyoming, where the wind gusted as high as 70 mph. Other notable wind gusts included 62 mph north of Kaycee, Wyoming and 58 mph at the Powell, Wyoming Airport.
