Broadcast media reported quarter sized hail in Cutoff.

A wake low developed on the backside of a cluster of showers and thunderstorms racing south across southeast Louisiana. This drastically enhanced downdraft winds, producing long duration winds around tropical storm strength across the area with peak gusts as strong as a weak hurricane.
